魏正耀院士1936年4月生于浙江慈溪，1951年7月参军，1956年5月加入中国共产党。历任军委直属院校学员、北京大学外语系进修教师、总参各部助理研究员至研究员等职，最终担任网络空间部队研究所研究员。1999年当选中国工程院院士。
